Ernest has been our dog department Product Manager for over four years. He was born to a family that loves to hunt with pointer dogs, and particularly fond of hunting woodcocks and quails. He has always lived with dogs:
"Since I come from a hunting family, I have always had dogs at home. I have been living with dogs for over 28 years."
Nowadays, Ernest has two dogs at home, which live in a half-covered 25 sqm dog house, with a 200 sqm exercise yard. They are English Setters with tricolour coats.
Navarre is 14 years old. He is a senior dog which never balks at a chance to go hunting. Escroc is a two-year-old dog. Ernest is very close to his dogs and proud of them:
"They are two wonderful dogs who have their heads on straight and an innate sense of hunting."

Training
Ernest trains his dogs himself to teach them the basics of canine behaviour. But he uses a trainer to teach his dogs "obedience, flight and fire". This type of training requires time and a great deal of technical skill.
Feeding his two dogs
Navarre is a senior dog (14 years old). He is fed on OUTDOG 500 light & senior. He is in full shape with tremendous vitality since he is fed with these kibbles.
Escroc has always been fed with OUTDOG:
"I always fed him OUTDOG 500 P Growth while he was growing. He has always been in tip-top shape: not too thin and not too fat. His bone structure formed flawlessly. He was easily confirmed at the age of 12 months".
Since then, Escroc has been fed with two different kinds of OUTDOG food. During the low season, Ernest gives Escroc OUTDOG 500 P Balance, and during the hunting period, he feeds Escroc with OUTDOG 500 Energy.

Ernest's hunting dog diet advice
"For dogs which are about to start the hunting season, start giving them OUTDOG 500 Energy from August 15, mixed with OUTDOG 500 Balance. This makes it possible to prepare your sports dog physically before the hunting season".
